We run a small organic farm near Thornhill. We have regular farm volunteers as well as occassional holiday guests. We now have room for a long term lodger. The bedroom available is on the second floor and has its own bathroom. The room had far reaching views over the surrounding countryside and the farm in general is in a notably beautiful location. Nearby there are numerous walks and amenities such as Loch Ettrick and Ae forest.
On the farm there is the possibility to grow your own vegetables and to participate in farm activities if that interests you... alternatively you can be entirely self contained if you so wish. The top floor of the farmhouse is largely unoccupied and as well as the bedroom there is a large landing area which is available as a kind of living / study area. This is kind of an unusual house but for the right person it is a great opportunity. If you are interested in coming to see the farm and meet us please get in touch.
