Large, furnished room available for lodging with the owner in a peaceful home close to nature in a friendly community. You'll have access to a well-equipped kitchen, including dining area and a comfortable lounge. This truly is a room with a view, overlooking nature that is sometimes visited by deer. The bed is brand new and I will provide a desk if required.
Ideally, you will be seeking a home-space for one year or more, although I am open to considering different rental periods for the right person... The rent is £625 p/m for one year including bills and £650 p/m for rental periods of less than one year.
The room would suit a professional, NHS employee working shifts (a Junior Doctor/Nurse) or a postgraduate or mature student seeking a peaceful place to call home and enjoy an exceptional quality of life. I will be living overseas for much of winter so in these months you will have the house to yourself.
My life is centred around compassion and I would kindly ask that my lodger respects the compassionate ethos of my home and shares the value of integrity.
This is a supportive community with great neighbours and within 3 minutes walk of an array of hiking trails, including through ancient woodland and a glacial rift. If you don’t want to walk and instead, relax and unwind in nature, this is a great location.
Durham city is 5 miles away and accessible by bus and the property is within walking distance of an excellent doctor, Tesco, hairdressers. Buses run to Durham every 20 minutes.
