Hi,

A big double bedroom has become available as my flatmate Ann is sadly moving to NYC after over 3 years in London, so I am looking for a flatmate to take over her room.

The flat is a bright two double bedroom flat, with an open living room/kitchen and a balcony overlooking the roofs of Hackney. It is a fairly new building, so everything works. The flat has wooden floors and double glazing to keep you warm in the winter. The double bedroom that is available is bright and spacious, with plenty of space for a desk if you are working from home.

The flat is located on a quiet street, but only 5 minutes from London Fields and the vibrant Broadway Market with great restaurants and bars. Victoria Park and Regents Canal are only 10 minutes away, so if you like running or enjoy green spaces, it’s all very close. There are great transport links: buses, overground and the tube from Bethnal Green.
About me, I am originally from Copenhagen but have lived in London for 16 years on and off, having been back in Copenhagen a few times and lived in Cambodia, but came back for good in 2022, as I realised London was my home. I returned to my old building, as I love the neighbourhood and have now lived in the building for 9 years and 4 years in this flat.
I work for an NGO as Head of People, and I am passionate about working for an organisation that makes a difference in the world. Outside work, I like to travel, have friends over for dinner, visit museums and the theatre, as well as just continue exploring what London has to offer.

I am very easy going, but I like the flat to be tidy, as it's my home, and I take care of it and like to have a nice place to come home to. I am looking for a flatmate who is sociable, tidy, and like-minded. Someone I can have a chat with after coming home from work, the occasional dinner, or a drink, but without living in each other’s pockets. I have a busy social life and travel a fair bit, so you will sometimes have the flat all to yourself.
If you cycle like me, you can store your bike securely on the ground floor under the staircase.
Then, of course, there is Mog, who will be staying as she is my cat, so you will have to be happy to live with a cat. She is very friendly when she gets to know you. She can be a bit demanding when she pretends she has not had food, but that said, she only gets into a little bit of trouble.

To note, the room comes unfurnished, except for the wardrobe, but as Ann is moving to NCY, there is an opportunity to discuss buying some of the furniture from her if you are not bringing your own.

If you are interested and want to hear more or see the flat, please do get in contact.

Cheers,

Grusche
