My lovely flatmate is sadly moving away for work so I am looking for a new flatmate to take over and be added to the joint tenancy for our two bed flat in Morningside. We are with Pure Property Management and applicants would need to be approved by the agent before moving in :)
Ideally, we would be looking for someone to move in at the end of August - date can be flexible.
The flat is in a quiet building and we are on the top floor in a two bedroom. Our floor neighbours are not often in, so it's mostly just us! The bedrooms are small doubles and cosy but the living space is combined with the dining room and is large and bright. There is plenty of cupboard storage in the hallway. The flat comes with a parking space for you to use (I don't have a car at the moment), if you like! There is a communal garden that is well maintained and we are close to the Hermitage and lots of local green spaces. Waitrose is a 10 minute walk up the road, or there's a Sainbury's local a few minutes walk away, and lots of local cafes and shops nearby on Morningside Road. Morningside Station bus stop is two minutes away.
It would be great to be friends with a new flatmate and enjoy the occasional shared dinner together, movie night or catch up over a cuppa, but the flat won't be a good fit for someone who likes to party often. We tend to split chores to keep the flat comfortable and a nice space to live in!
I work a 9-5 and enjoy baking, reading, travelling, watching movies (we don't have a tv in the flat at the moment, but if you have one, I would be very happy to split the tv license cost) and going out to try new food places with friends. I'm Australian and have been living in Edinburgh for the past year and am still enjoying getting to know this beautiful city :)
