A furnished double room is available from 2nd March 2026 in a bright, peaceful home. Move in between now and 6th March.

I am ideally looking for a long-term lodger, with a minimum stay of 3 months (a stay of 1 year or more is preferred). A three-month notice period is required. A signed contract will be in place and references are required.

Location & Transport

The house is in a peaceful residential area with free, unrestricted on-street parking, plus one driveway space.

There are beautiful walks nearby along the river and the seafront. A gym, restaurants, and takeaways are close by. Portobello is just a few bus stops away, with lovely seaside walks and a pleasant park to enjoy in warmer months.

Frequent bus services (including numbers 26 and 44, three minutes’ walk away) take approximately 45 minutes to the city centre. Additional routes include 111, 113, 104, 46, 48, 140 and 141.

Trains from Wallyford or Musselburgh reach Edinburgh Waverley in around 12 minutes.

About the Household

I am a professional and work partly from home, although there are periods when I am away.

I am looking for someone who:

Has a regular, settled job and income, or is a postgraduate student with structured studies

Will treat the house as their home

Is respectful, clean and considerate

The house must be kept clean and well cared for.

While I love animals, pets are not permitted, and this is a non-smoking home.
