Hi! 👋

I'm looking for a lodger to move into my spare bedroom from about April until the end of summer (can be flexible with the dates but I will have some family visiting in September so will need the room free by then).

The flat is in a modern building and has 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms (my bedroom is an ensuite, the shared bathroom has a bath), an open-plan kitchen/living area, a small utility room, and some storage.

The single bedroom has a built-in closet and a boiler cupboard that can be used for storage, a single bed, and a desk with a chair. It's probably worth noting that the flat is right next to a railway line and the boiler makes some noise when heating. Neither has ever bothered me — the sound insulation is excellent thanks to triple glazing — but just so you're aware! The windows are all south-facing so it does get hot in summer but the upside is the flat is never cold.

A bit about me: I'm a software engineer and work from home full time, so I'm usually around during the day. It might be best if you do not work from home, or at least not full time!

Evenings and weekends vary. My hobbies are mostly outdoorsy — I love climbing, running, and hillwalking, but also enjoy a quite evening with a book or hosting people over for dinner. I value my personal space but also like having a bit of company now and then - would be great to find someone with similar interests, or at least someone who won't question muddy trail shoes in the utility room! :)

Council Tax Band D.
The bills should come around to about £153 per person (£108 council tax), £15 broadband, ~ £30 Octopus depending on usage).
