A double room will be available in a three bedroom flat in Bruntsfield from 2 March.

The room is cosy rather than huge, with space for a double bed and storage. With some rearranging, it could also fit a small desk if needed. There’s also a small box room in the flat for extra storage.

The flat is on a quiet residential street just off Bruntsfield Place, with excellent bus links and easy access to bike paths. The area is central, with plenty of cafés and shops nearby.

Rent is 567 per month. With bills and council tax included, it comes to around 720 per month. Council tax will increase slightly from April.

You’d be sharing with me, Italian, working professional. I enjoy films and good food. The flat has a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere, it’s more of a calm home than a party space. I’m friendly and always up for a chat, but I also value having our own space.

We take care to keep shared areas clean and tidy, especially the kitchen. Cleaning up after cooking and not leaving dishes sitting around is really about consideration and making sure everyone feels comfortable, rather than having strict rules. Guests are absolutely fine, small dinners or catching up with friends works well, as long as the flat remains a comfortable base.

The flat is owned by a private landlord who is lovely, and we’ve had no problems with.

Another flatmate will also be moving out later in March, one is moving in with her partner and the other is heading back to Australia to continue her career. While it’s very sad to see them go, they’re both exciting next steps for them. With these changes, it feels like a lovely opportunity to shape another positive chapter in the flat and keep it a calm and welcoming home. I’ll be uploading a few more photos tomorrow to give a better sense of the flat, the kitchen and living room are both spacious and comfortable.
