Hi, we're looking for a new flatmate.
Me and my partner split our time between my flat and his house. So you'd have the place to yourself, usually for at least half of the week.
When we're at the flat, we'd be keen to get to know you and share food together. But we also understand that you need your own space sometimes.
Rent: £500 per month
Half of council tax (band b): £75
Half of wifi: £15
Half of energy: variable (my last flatmate's share was between £40 and £60 per month)
Short term (under three months) considered: +£200 rent per month
Couples considered: +£100 rent per month
The room is a decent sized double. It's got a double bed, bedside table, two chests of drawers and a built-in wardrobe. I'll happily switch out one of the chest of drawers for a desk, if needed. I have no problem with you putting things on the walls, changing the furniture round and generally making it your own. There's also further storage space throughout the flat.
The living / dining room is spacious and comfortable. It get's lots of sunshine pouring through the big window.
The kitchen's well-equipped, as we cook and bake a lot ourselves.
I've just finished redecorating the bathroom so it's a really nice room now. It's got a good, powerful shower!
We'd expect you to take on your fair share of cleaning and tidying.
A few simple rules I'd ask for you to follow:
- Forewarning if you're getting back late or bringing friends over
- No shoes indoors
- Smoking only on the balcony
Transport: Thornliebank Station is five minutes walk away and it's about 15 minutes to Glasgow Central. There's a bus stop even closer where you can catch the number 57.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
A bit about me:
I'm a civil servant working in the office three days a week and at home two days. In the evenings I'm in comedy improv shows and rehearsals. I do a lot of cooking and sometimes have friends over for dinner. My partner is also a civil servant and a great cook! He owns a house in Coatbridge and we split our time between the flat and his house, so you'd have the place to yourself fairly often.
