Welcome to your new home :)
After some recent kitchen renovation work and my lovely flatmate moving back home, I am renting out two rooms in my well-sized 3-bedroom flat and want to create a cosy community with like-minded women.
Ideally, you are in your 30s or early 40s - the golden decade for good chats, plant parenting, and a decent bottle of wine in the cupboard. You love living in a tidy, calm and friendly (smoke-free) home. Bonus points if you're vegetarian or vegan like me. A must is that you like dogs (look at that face!). Another dog would be welcome too (assuming they get on).
About the flat:
It is a beautiful 3-bedroom tenement flat (approx 120 years old) with high ceilings, restored hardwood floors, an open-plan kitchen living room (recently renovated), a shared bathroom, a small box room used as a reading nook/guest bedroom, cupboard space, and a communal garden with seating and a drying line.
The flat has big double-glazed windows, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a dryer. It is on the top (2nd) floor and South-facing, so we get lots of great light when the sun comes out. :)
The area is not trendy (yet?) but safe, friendly, and very well connected. It is a 7-minute walk to the Cessnock Subway station with easy access to the West End, South Side and city centre. Rentable e-bikes are available right in front of the house. Supermarkets, shops, bus stops, coffee places, a yoga studio and a climbing centre are within walking distance. A heads-up: we are on Paisley Road West, and it can get quite busy during match day at Ibrox Stadium.
Renting out two rooms separately. Rent includes council tax (B), gas, electricity, and broadband.
1) The little green room: £500 p. month incl. all bills:
The room is south-facing, comes with a single bed that can be pulled out into a large double bed, a desk and chair, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a small built-in bookcase, a rug and blackout curtains.
2) The garden room: £570 p. month incl. all bills:
The room comes with a double bed, a built-in desk with an armchair overlooking the garden, a storage cupboard, an open wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a built-in bookcase, a rug and blackout curtains.
Move-in date August 1st or earlier.
About me
I am 39, German, have lived in lots of different countries, and now call Glasgow my home, where I do a part-time PhD, run my own company, love going to yoga classes and heading out into nature as often as possible.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, get in touch and tell me which room you are interested in and a bit about yourself, e. g., hobbies, age, experience living with others, and whether you go to an office or work from home (working from home is absolutely fine, but ideally from your room most of the time, as the living room is intended as our shared social space).
