Hello! My flatmate is sadly moving to Edinburgh so I’m looking for someone new to move into a double room in a two bed, first floor flat.
The flat is in an ideal location on the edge of the West End and not too far from the city centre. It’s 5 minutes from St George’s cross subway, and less than 10 minutes to Charing Cross train station. It’s just a stones throw from Sainsbury’s (which is very handy!) and Kelvingrove park and Lidl are also nearby.
We have a lovely and spacious shared living room, separate kitchen, and bathroom. It’s technically a three bed flat that has been kept as a two bed by the several generations of former flatmates that have been here before. You would have use of the two smaller bedrooms, while I have the master bedroom. The current flatmate uses his second bedroom for storage but it could also be an office. Whenever either of us has guests staying, they use the second bedroom :)
Rent is £400 + council tax band E + bills - it usually comes to around £600 total.
About me:
I'm 28 and work as a freelance trad musician (I play lever harp). My schedule varies a lot week to week, but I’m often wfh during the day. I usually practice in the flat, but of course we can chat about timings to make sure it works for both of us :)
I enjoy making food for others, interesting conversations, spontaneous plans, playing music with friends and going to watch live music, learning French, good coffee, spending time in nature and exploring new places.
What I’m looking for:
I’d love to live with a kind, chill, down to earth and tidy person who is looking for a flat that also feels like a home :) My ideal flat dynamic would be a laid back, friendly one where we enjoy spending time together when we're both around, and perhaps sometimes share meals. Equally I’m respectful of others need for space and time as well. Open communication is important for me so we can find a living pattern that works for us both!
Happy for students if you’re okay to split cost of the council tax equally. Move in date from 9th August but can be flexible for the right person.
If you think it would be a good fit, just send me a message with a bit about yourself and any questions :)
