Hello!
Looking for someone to take over part of the lease in a well-connected and sunny two-bedroom apartment in peaceful Cathcart, from May 2026. Feel free to DM me if you’re interested or have any questions!
LOCATION, COSTS AND AMENITIES
Double room in a well-connected two-bedroom, first-floor tenement in Cathcart. £525 for rent and bills/council tax (band B) are split typically around £110 per person each month (possibly a slight increase in winter, split to be decided on entry). Located on Tulloch Street, a five-minute walk from the Cathcart train station and the closest bus stop (Tulloch Street) is literally just outside. There are buses into town about every 15 minutes.
The bedroom is spacious and comes with some furniture [Pictures available on request]. There is a large, shared living-room, one shared bathroom and a well-stocked kitchen. As both tenants pay equal rent and my room is significantly smaller, he has a computer desk setup in the living room. I am however, mindful about sharing the space in a way that works for everyone.
YOUR POTENTIAL ROOMMATE
Andrew (he/him) is a cis queer neurodivergent man aged 29 years. I work full time in a 9-5 admin role in an engineering firm. I am a creative and curious individual who likes to read, write and play games, video-game or tabletop. He is often out of the house, giving you plenty of space.
I value empathetic communication and living with someone with whom he can talk comfortably and reach an understanding and compromise with. I like to have a relaxed atmosphere in the flat where everyone can do their own thing but I also enjoy having a flatmate he can socialise with a little bit. I have guests over occasionally and have no issues with a flatmate doing the same, although advance notice is appreciated.
THE IDEAL FLATMATE
My ideal flatmate is in their late 20s or older. Professionals only (for council tax reasons), no couples and long-term lets are preferred. As an autistic and ADHD individual, I'm looking for someone considerate who can respectfully communicate their boundaries and is open to others communicating theirs. Tidiness and respect for shared spaces are essential to me, so I'm looking for someone who shares these values and is willing to contribute to household chores. However, I understand busy schedules and fluctuating energy levels and am usually willing to pick up the slack when able.
NEXT STEPS
