Hello! I’m looking for a new flatmate to take over a room in a 2-bed flat in the west end. My current flatmate is moving out after 3.5 years to live with her family. Check out full details below 🙂.
Rent - £612.5 p/m
Council tax - £98.5 p/m (Band D)
Bills - £80 p/m roughly (includes gas, electricity, internet and toilet paper subscription)
Cost of buying basics like olive oil, salt, washing-up liquid is also split
Move in date is Thurs 09/04 when next rent is due, but flat will be available from roughly Mon 30/03 (rent for pro rata days would need to be negotiated with my current flatmate).
You’ll be formally on the tenancy agreement, so the letting agent will do some basic background checks. There's no formal minimum term but it would be beneficial if you plan to stay for 1+ years.
Cool things about this flat:
- Open plan kitchen/living room with big couch, dining table x2, 6-hob gas stove, dishwasher, double sink.. dream situation for cooking and hosting
- Great location, 1 min walk to Hillhead subway and loads of shops within 10-15 mins walk (waitrose, tesco, lidl, big morrisons). The street is fairly quiet and it’s mainly families in our building
- Lots of storage, especially in your room
- Small garden that barely anyone uses but nice to have in summer
- Letting agency are really great, urgent issues are always fixed quickly
- All furniture belongs to the flat except for the small stool in your room and the living room TV, which are my current flatmate's
Looking for:
Another female, late 20s/ early 30s. Ideally professional but students who will split council tax could work. Keeping things clean as you go and taking initiative with chores are pretty non-negotiable. Happy to have our own lives when it comes to cooking and socialising, but it would be nice if you’re also up for chatting after work and sharing a coffee/ beer/ the odd dinner ! Having friends over is fine any time, but it's very much a home with a cosy dinners/ watching a film vibe over a party flat so please take this into account.
About me:
I’ve lived in Glasgow for roughly 8 years total (the last 3 of those in this flat so it really is a home for me now!). I work Monday-Friday 9-5, usually doing 4 days in the office and 1 from home. Most evenings/weekends I’m out and about at the gym, cinema, swimming, exhibitions and coffees with friends, etc. I also love cooking, and enjoy having friends round for dinner now and again. I do a bit of travelling too so you'll have the flat to yourself for a few days when that happens. I studied french so bonus points if you can help me to keep practicing!
Mainly keen to get to know you and make sure we'd get on, so drop me a message and we can arrange to have coffee in the flat. There’s flexibility for viewings so feel free to include some dates/times that would suit you, to try and speed up the process. Looking forward to hearing from you 🌷
**I will try to respond to all messages but may need to prioritise only replying to people who fit the criteria.. thanks for understanding
