I'm Shona, I've lived in this flat since Sept 2022 with two other flatmates - one I've lived with since 2021 (Stephen) and the other (Gaby) since we moved into this one. Gaby is moving to London to find a post-grad job so her room will be available from the 8th of April until July 1st
This is due to a rent increase coming in from July 1st, so me and Stephen will be moving out then. It's possible for the next flatmate to stay in occupancy and find other flatmates to move in with them at this address if they enjoy it here.
The flat is cute, in the heart of the West End. Literally a 30 second walk from the top of Byres Road, yet really quiet and suitable for students that don't particularly party much. One bathroom, one kitchen, no living space. The room that's available has a walk in wardrobe so plenty of storage space! Bed and dressers come too, with a desk etc. Tesco Express, Waitrose, Iceland, and many more amenities close by!
The landlord is really hands-on and has a maintenance man readily available for any issues, they've been great so far.
Stephen & I work really well together as flatmates - we share household tasks by who likes/dislikes doing what. For example, he does bins and I wash the dishes. It works for us but I know it isn't for everyone!
We love going for a few pints etc so a social flatmate would be ideal, but we're not party animals so our flat is never the afters spot. We love watching movies together and I regularly cook meals for the flat! We're not money-forward and aren't calculated, so it's a "scratch my back i'll scratch yours" kinda vibe!
