We’re a Scottish–Vietnamese couple with a bright, spacious double room available in our recently renovated four-bedroom home in New Cross (Zone 2) — just 1 minute from the station.

The room features two large, double-glazed windows, making it wonderfully light and airy in summer and warm and quiet in winter. You'll be sharing the house with us (a couple) and one other housemate, who is currently a student. (In the video, this is the first bedroom shown.)

👫 About Us
I'm an academic and my partner works in hospitality. We're sociable and enjoy a chat over a drink, but the house spans three storeys, so there’s plenty of space for everyone to have privacy too. It’s a friendly and relaxed home, not a party house.

We love our local area – vibrant and diverse with Deptford High Street a few minutes away. Great street food, Asian and African restaurants, and everyday essentials like Tesco, Asda, and Greggs are all nearby. If you enjoy cabaret, we’re regulars at The George and Dragon on Saturdays — you'd be very welcome to join!

🧍 Who We're Looking For
We're open-minded about who moves in, but looking for a male sharer. We’re a gay couple, so it’s important you're comfortable living in an LGBTQ+ household.

We handle cleaning of the communal areas, but you’d share responsibility with the other housemate for keeping the bathroom clean and tidy. We don't cook a lot, but you're welcome to use the kitchen, and would be expected to leave the area as clean as you found it. The kitchen is part of the open-plan area so it's important it has a welcoming vibe for everyone.

💷 Rent & What’s Included – £1,050/month
- All bills (utilities, Council Tax, broadband, Virgin TV)
- Household essentials: toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc.

📌 Please note: There’s no space for bike storage due to the layout of the house.

If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to drop me a message — we’d love to hear from you! One of our current lodgers is moving out to live with friends, so the room will be available for viewing on 8 March 2026.
