The flat - Fully renovated by an architect, this split-level flat is located on the 2nd floor of an estate. It includes two bedrooms, one office/guest bedroom, one living room with an adjacent and open kitchen area, as well as two bathrooms. Everything is well designed and very functional with a washing machine and dryer unit, a dishwasher and generous storage space. And yes, there is a balcony too and if you look closely you can see the tip of the Shard !

Your space - Your room comes with a bed, mattress, a desk, a lamp, and built-in wardrobes. There is an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, a sink, a spacious shower, and storage.

You will also get access to an office on the second floor, perfect for working from home. This will be fully yours as our flatmate does not use/pay for this room. There is also a single foldable bed, which is really handy if occasionally hosting friends or family.

The location - The flat is very quiet as it's in a cul de sac with no road on either side. It's located 5 minutes away from Hackney downs and Hackney Central so you can easily hop on the Weaver and Mildmay lines as well as some national railway trains. It is close to many corner shops and supermarkets including a Sainsbury local (3 min away), a big Tesco and an M&S.
Hackney downs park is 3 min away, which is brilliant for a morning run or an evening stroll.

The flatmate- You would be living with Charlie, a lovely 32-year-old history researcher. He works in central London most days and is a very friendly and considerate presence around the flat in the evenings and on weekends. It's been a joy living together; we have great chats and share the occasional meal. He sometimes hosts people for dinners but keeps it low-key and small-scale.

Bills- They are around £150 for a single person or £200 for a couple, including Council Tax + Water + Gas + Internet + a cleaner once a month.
