I’m looking for a friendly, professional flatmate to share a bright, modern flat in St John’s Wood.
A little about me:
I’m an entrepreneur running a small language academy (Japanese and English) in Soho. I enjoy a relaxed, friendly home environment, value open communication, and like to balance work with occasional social dinners or drinks.
I’m tidy, responsible, and considerate, and I appreciate a flatmate who shares similar values around respect, privacy, and cleanliness.
PS: I don’t have any pets, but I’m a big fan of cats, so I’d happily consider a flatmate with one (of course, subject to landlord approval).
Looking For:
A friendly, professional flatmate who is tidy, considerate, and values open communication and shared responsibility. Ideally, you enjoy a good balance; social and up for a chat now and then, but also respectful of personal space.
My current flatmate is moving out after 3.5 years (he’s just bought his own place), so I’m hoping to find someone who’s not just a housemate, but someone we genuinely get along with; more friends sharing a home than strangers passing through.
The Flat:
Second floor, modern, very bright, and well-maintained
Open-plan kitchen and living area, perfect for occasional dinners (fits 4–5 comfortably)
Dishwasher, separate fridge & freezer, smart TV, wooden floors throughout, with clean carpets in the bedrooms
Quiet, residential building with young professionals
Council tax band D
Total bills include internet, water, electricity, and heating. Council tax is approximately £150 per month, with a maximum of £160 if there are any increases next year.
The Room:
A bright, fully furnished double bedroom with a private bathroom exclusively for you. The washing machine is located inside your room, stylishly enclosed and silent, so it won’t disturb you. The room faces the garden, is cosy, and perfect for a professional looking for a quiet, comfortable space.
Just to be clear, the room is on the more compact side. It works very well for someone who lives fairly simply and doesn’t have a large amount of belongings, but it may not suit someone needing significant workspace or extra furniture. The floor plan is included in the ad for your reference, so please do have a look before arranging a viewing.
