Hi, looking for a flatmate for my amazing, new 2b2b flat in the heart of Greenwich, available from 1 May. Note: Pictures are from original listing so not the same furniture (came unfurnished so I bought my own, waiting on one or two bits) and I've added curtains, but pretty representative overall.
The flat: On the first floor in a new block of nine flats above the Post Office on Greenwich High Road. The landlord runs the Post Office and is super friendly/quick to respond to any issues. There is a huge balcony overlooking the main road (triple glazed so you don't get any noise) and all the mod cons of a new flat, including electric radiators, heated towel rail etc. There's also secure bike storage in the private patio area and CCTV in the block (fob entry), it's super safe.
Location: Couldn't be better. 3 minute walk to Greenwich Station (National Rail services to London Bridge, the City, King's Cross) and 5 minute walk to either Greenwich or Cutty Sark DLR. You'd also be 3 mins away from the buzzy and vibrant Greenwich centre (all the shops and supermarkets you need/can imagine), and 5 minutes from Greenwich Park.
Me: Civil servant, grew up in the North but have been in London since 2018. I work in Canary Wharf and am in the office 3-4 days/wk. Keen sportsperson (rugby, gym, bouldering). Home is a peaceful and clean place for me to reset after a busy day - I don't drink/party (!) - so looking for someone down to earth who wants a similar environment.
Logistics: Tenancy agreement is through Hamptons Estate Agents in Greenwich and becomes rolling effective 1 May with the new tenancy laws. I plan to stay in the flat for at least 1 year and most likely 2, so would want someone who is looking to stay for a minimum of 1 year. I negotiated the rent to remain fixed until February 2028, which is a major plus.
Utilities (electricity, water, internet, fortnightly cleaner, Band D council tax); circa £220-250 a month per person, as it's a new build some of the bills are still being worked out so an estimate. Electric higher in winter and lower in summer.
