An intelligent, educated and interesting older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She has help in the day, but would value the reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. The family would like the Sharer to be responsible for cooking a decent evening meal approx. 5 evenings a week, eating some of these meals with her, and sleeping in the lady’s home in case of an overnight emergency. We also ask the Sharer to help with shopping (such as ingredients for cooking the evening meal) and general practical help around the home including helping keep it clean and tidy, taking out bins and ad hoc other practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is furnished double bedroom, and shared use of the bathroom (bath, no shower), kitchen and sitting room.

The property is in an excellent quiet location just 5 minutes’ walk from Hampstead underground station.

The lady is elderly and quite frail but still likes walking and going out for lunch. She is very artistic and creative and enjoys reading, writing, the arts, listening to classical music and the radio, conversations about politics and current affairs, and seeing friends and family. As well as having support during the day, her two sons visit to help out at weekends, and will stay the night (or arrange for someone else to) when the Sharer is away.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
