This is a double room in an idyllic cottage in Radnage, a beautiful Chilterns village in an area of outstanding natural beauty, 4 miles west of High Wycombe, but with easy access to Junction 5 of the M40, and easy access to Chiltern line trains into Marylebone. The cottage is set well back from a country lane and offers privacy and quiet. Postcode is HP14 4DD

You would be sharing with Adam, a 34 year old who works in furniture design in Princes Risborough and is only here Monday to Thursday, Very considerate and tidy, and myself, the owner. I split my time between Radnage and London, typically spending Tuesday to Thursday in London.

There is a double bed, stripped pine floors, low ceiling with inset spots, and built in wardrobes along one wall. It is freshly decorated in neutral colours and has glorious country views. It is west facing. The room is approximately 11 foot x 8 foot (plus depth of cupboard)

There is a modern bathroom with bath and separate double shower.

There is a large living room with beams, a wood burning stove, two comfortable leather sofas and wonderful views over the front garden. This leads onto a country kitchen / breakfast room with range cooker and French doors to the rear garden. The cottage is triple glazed throughout. Warm in winter, cool in summer.

You must have your own transport. The cottage is non-smoking, and you must be a non-smoker. The cottage is old and not everything is perfect. We are ideally looking for a considerat and kind guy 34 or under. Overnight guests are welcome, just not every night please. The room is for single occupancy.

There is a lovely long front garden, which affords the cottage seclusion. There is a sunny rear garden. There are several sheds/workshops for storage. We have a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is full oil-fired central heating, along with the wood burning stove. The main attraction of the cottage is in a peaceful setting, set well back from a quiet country lane.

The rent is inclusive of all bills. There is internet already set up in the house. There is a colour TV in the lounge. We are looking for someone who really appreciates the setting and quality of life this cottage has to offer. We are looking for someone who is considerate, kind, gentle and leaves a gentle footprint in life (and in the house). We are ideally looking for someone long term.

Radnage is a lovely Chilterns village, with, school, church, village hall and warm community. It is peaceful, yet 5 minutes from the M40. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Chilterns way long-distance footpath and the Chilterns cycleway go through the village. There is ancient woodland two minutes’ walk from the front door, and many footpaths and bridleways nearby. You would need to have your own transport.

We are looking for someone, who appreciates the beauty that this cottage and village has to offer. This is more than a room; it’s a home and a peaceful lifestyle. As always, a sense of humour and consideration will go a long way. The room is for single occupancy. Sorry, but no couples. Someone who is prepared to pitch in with the gardening, to help keep the garden looking good would be most welcome.
