Hello!
One of our flatmates is sadly (for us) moving in with his partner, so we're looking for a new housemate to fill his room in our house from September. It's in a fantastic location in Herne Hill and is a very reasonable price.
THE ROOM:
• Big double on the 2nd floor
• Huge window with plenty of natural light
• High ceilings
THE HOUSE
• 4 bedrooms
• Good-sized shared kitchen
• Large shared living room with lots of natural light.
• 2 bathrooms and an extra toilet
THE LOCATION
• 5 minutes away from Brockwell Park
• 5 minutes away from Herne Hill train station with frequent connections to Victoria, Blackfriars, Farringdon, St. Pancras etc.
• A bus stop literally outside the front door to take you to Brixton, Clapham, Dulwich etc.
• Loads of great pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby and a Sunday market. There's even a pottery painting cafe outside the front door!
• Local Sainsburys and Tesco over the road from the flat, massive Sainsbury's and Tesco slightly further away
THE HOUSEMATES:
• Joe, 31. Works for TfL and is into films, gigs and a pub quiz.
• Alice, 28. Responsible for lots of the art in the house, especially on the fridge door.
• Alex, 29. Works in politics and supports Portsmouth but we don't hold either of those against him.
BILLS, DEPOSIT AND LANDLORD:
• Bills included in rent
• Twice-monthly cleaner for shared spaces
• The landlord is the Dulwich Estate who are responsive and reliable. They've just increased the rent slightly which is included in the price.
• Deposit is 5 weeks' rent
VIEWINGS & DATES:
• We're happy to do viewings over the next few weeks. Can be flexible with timings but obviously evenings are best in terms of working hours.
• The move-in date will be early September, likely the weekend of the 5th/6th.
THE NEW FLATMATE:
• Other than every SpareRoom cliche you can imagine (clean yet relaxed, sociable yet independent!) we're just looking for someone who fits in with the existing vibe of the house.
• Ideally looking for someone in their late 20s-early 30s, no preference on gender or profession.
