Open to couples ~ cost negotiable ~ short-term sublet a possibility
Following a recent end to a relationship I am looking for someone to take over half of the lease on this gorgeous flat in Highgate. The flat is directly between Highgate Station and Highgate village, both of which can be reached in just over five minutes. Hampstead Heath, Highgate Woods, the Queen’s Wood, and Parkland Walk are all more or less on your doorstep.
It is a two bedroom flat, on the top floor and with great views. I am looking for someone to take over the main bedroom, which is vast, has capacious built-in wardrobes, and faces on to a tranquil run of gardens.
The room is perfectly ample in size for a couple, and I would be very keen on such an arrangement. Officially it is a two-person flat so only one person could be on the tenancy agreement.
The intention then is for me to move into the second, much smaller bedroom. I am a junior humanities academic currently working in London. I have a lot of books and enjoy ambling in the English countryside.
Besides the two bedrooms there is a large living room, a bathroom (with a bath) and a separate toilet, some space for storage, a decently sized kitchen, and a small terrace. The house has a communal garden.
The room is technically unfurnished but we are open to leaving some of the furniture on a temporary or permanent basis to whoever takes over - this is the something that can be discussed.
The room will be available from 23rd April. I am looking for someone to come on to the lease with me rather than sublet, but if anyone is looking for a room for just a few weeks do let me know as there might be a gap.
The advertised rent reflects the way we have previously been dividing total costs (between 3) and could be negotiated - particularly if it is only one person moving in. Bills are not included in this figure, and the council tax band is E.
