I'm Kota, a Japanese postgraduate student studying at University College London (UCL). I have been living in this flat since last August, but I am considering moving out as the uni semester is about to end.
My room is in a two-bedroom flat on the top floor of a building on Holloway Road (Band C). I am looking for someone to replace me and share the flat with my flatmate.
The property includes:
- A double bedroom (actually a king-size!) with a desk, chair, wardrobe, laundry drying rack and whiteboard
- A clean, private bathroom with a huge bath that you can use exclusively (the bedroom of your flatmate is en-suite)
- A shared kitchen with a washing machine, an oven, a microwave, a large fridge-freezer, an electric kettle, and cooking and eating utensils
- A shared living room with sofas and a television
- A spacious private balcony with outdoor furniture
- Street parking can be requested from the council
The area:
- 10-min walk to Holloway Road station (Piccadilly Line) and 15-min walk to Finsbury Park station (Piccadilly Line, Victoria Line and National Rail)
- Loads of bus routes nearby
- Close links to Camden, King's Cross and Euston, but basically the whole of London is open to you!
- Lidl, Morrisons and Waitrose supermarkets are nearby
- Opposite the Odeon cinema, and a number of parks, pubs, restaurants, gyms and shops on your doorstep
- 15-min walk from Arsenal Stadium (Emirates Stadium) – far enough away to avoid crowds and noise, but still close enough to watch matches
New tenant preferences:
- Open to any gender, age and nationality
- Suitable for both professionals and students
- Someone who can move in around 11 April 2026 (negotiable)
Note:
- Your flatmate's bedroom is a spacious loft with room dividers instead of doors. It is connected to the shared area (kitchen and living room) via stairs. While the room dividers prevent her bedroom from being seen from the shared area, you will be asked not to use the shared area when she is asleep, in order to avoid any noise, smells or lights reaching her room.
- You and your flatmate will share the electricity, gas, water, broadband and council tax bills.
- Once you have decided to move in, the property agency will ask you to provide proof that you are a full-time professional earning a minimum of £33,000 per annum before tax and pension deductions. If you are self-employed, the required amount will be slightly higher. If you are a student, we can discuss how to meet this requirement. In any case, the credit check process will cost you £50.
About your flatmate:
She's a British woman who works in public services. Her work is shift-based, with three patterns: morning to afternoon, afternoon to evening, and occasionally evening to the following morning. She will regularly share her work schedule with you.
She is tidy, friendly and respectful. She speaks English and French. I can arrange a conversation between you and her if you would like.
