A lovely, spacious bedroom available to rent from February in Turnpike Lane (N8).
The house is very well located to transport. Council tax (band D) is included in the price
Looking for someone who would like a friendly room in a house that feels like a home, rather than just a room to rent.
The house is close to Turnpike Lane tube station (Piccadilly line – Zone 3) and bus station (less than 5 min walk) which has good bus links across London including services to London Bridge, Waterloo and Central London. It's only 30 minutes travel time into London Oxford Street.
Hornsey train station is only 8 mins walk away and there are lots of local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. The area also has lots of amenities including Alexander Palace.
The bedroom has lots of space and light. The house has a shared sitting room, bathroom, garden, breakfast room and a small kitchen. The room comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, and has a small built in wardrope as well. The bed also has storage drawers in the base. There is gas central heating.
On road parking is available, with a permit.
There are currently two other housemates, Michaela and Lucy.
Hi! We’re Lucy and Michaela and we have lived together for over two years.
Michaela is 26 and an occupational therapist for an adoption and fostering support service. Lucy is 30 and works as an administrator at a drama school.
We are both clean, friendly, sociable and live fairly communally. We enjoy spending time together, going out for walks, evenings out and putting the world to rights over several cups of tea. Please note this living situation would not suit anyone looking for a “party” house.
We also enjoy our own space and have our own hobbies/groups of friends outside of the house.
Michaela enjoys going for long walks or a (very mediocre) run, trying out new cafés, live music, and keeping up with the GAA. She's usually up for a few drinks or dinner out too!
Lucy enjoys going to gigs, swimming and watching pretty much any sport on telly (whilst simultaneously trying to figure out the rules), she is a huge women’s football fan- and is ready to talk anyone’s ear off about Arsenals upcoming season.
Extra costs average out around £90 pound a month per person (for WiFi, TV Licence, water, gas and electric). This can fluctuate slightly depending on the season.
This is very much a home rather than just a house share. We like to keep our home clean and tidy so that it feels relaxed and comfortable. We would love someone who is looking for the same.
