Current flatmate is moving out, and I'm seeking a friendly and mature person who wants to help make this pleasant space a home which can be enjoyed as a place of rest and no-pressure familiarity. You'd potentially be signing a contract as a joint tenant.
This is a lovely and spacious flat with an open plan kitchen / living room in a small gated building in a very convenient area, out the way of the hustle and bustle but close to transport links and a great pub next door, and lots of enticing cafes around Crouch End and Hornsey.
The flat is semi-furnished with a bed and cupboards, but if you you have your own it is likely you can bring it, and i'm looking to refurnish it when the current flatmate leaves.
About me:
I work in with young people in the charity sector. I work from home 2-3 times a week, and am out a fair bit at other times. Would prefer someone who is not completely working from home, as we all like a bit of space at times.
My life is pretty chill. I enjoy my job, I do bits of community activism, reading, music, and occasionally, despite my age, try and go out to the occasional party. It's a pretty balanced life that is not reclusive, but which values the need of a harmonious home environment that can replenish the spirit. I enjoy cooking a bit, and if people want to share food occasionally, then all the better.
If you're interested, i'd like us to meet for a coffee and have a chat to see if we're on the same wavelength, as getting along in a chilled and mature way is really fundamental to any shared living situation.
Council tax is Band D, about £90 a month, and other bills and broadband come to about £85
Deposit will be about 1150 for a deposit scheme, and contract will be handled through Drivers and Norris. You'll need to earn above about 30k to pass the affordability checks. The landlord is decent and have never had any issues.
