The moving-in date is flexible- it is technically available from 23rd February but you can also start the tenancy from March 1st.
This bedroom being offered is a sunny, west facing, large double bedroom and a converted living room, its the largest room in the house with ample space- it is unfurnished so all the furniture in it will be gone (the wardrobe is for sale- beautiful antique)
It will be on a joint tenancy that we will have to sign with the agency (who are a small, family business and who are very nice).
I am a working professional in the mental health and therapeutic field, i spend a lot of time outside the house for work, and also hobbies. I enjoy going to the gym, sauna, singing and dancing, i teach dancing too.
Me and the current housemate found each other on spareroom as we shared common values such as preferring the use of non-toxic household items (im asthmatic so laundry detergents, fabric conditioners and air-sprays that are chemical based are difficult for me), and keeping a tidy, clean space, respecting one another etc.
In the spring and summer, the garden is the best- it gets a lot of sunshine and you're welcome to borrow my deck chair to sunbathe or hang out in the garden. It's a decent size, we have hosted about 15 people very comfortably with 2 large tables. there is a bbq too and mini trampoline, and laundry line, welcome to use.
We spent a lot of time to get the garden nice and added lots of beautiful flowers, such as sunflowers and lavender.
The location is fantastic, we are close to brighton station, hove station, and buses 7, 3x and 47 which get you anywhere- the 3x especially is very fast. You can get to brighton station in 5-10mins on the bus, driving 5mins.
There are local pubs and supermarkets nearby. It is also a quiet neighbourhood, no disturbances, very safe area. The neighbours are all very nice- which also means we aren't a party house- although having friends over is welcomed, as long as we keep the noise down after 10pm.
We are the top/first floor, there is only one neighbor underneath us. To get to the garden its only through the back and down the fire-escape stairs, then through our garden door which is private (not shared with flat below)- hence the sunbathing!
The shower, boiler and washing machine are fairly new, and the landlord and agency are very good, and respond straight away. carpets are new too. we also just got put in new radiators.
Most of the furniture in the living room belongs to the current flatmate, so it will just be the piano/ keyboard left (welcome to use this too). As its a small room, a smaller sofa and dining table can be bought between us.
I love this flat and hope to find someone who will enjoy it too, and who shares similar values so that we get along and both feel comfortable.
I'm big on feng shui too and try to bring good energy to the home
I eat a fair amount of meat, and my current flatmate is vegan but this was fine. I have no issues with anyone's diet. The key thing is respect.
Council tax band is B, we pay £177/month split between us
The move in date is flexible, so do get in touch.
Sorry- no pets due to allergies and sensitivities
Street parking available but will need to apply for a permit
feel free to call so we can chat and you can come take a look! The sooner the better!
