Hi everyone and welcome to the listing for our beautiful vegan home by Battersea Park / Albert Bridge.

We generally only take on 6 month contracts but am starting to take on shorter contracts now too! We have one room available as Ross has finished renovating his home and is moving back.

We are looking for kind friendly folk who need a place in a kind friendly home! I am only at the property one night a week and would rather have empty rooms than housemates who are not very lovely.

The house has a shared sitting room full of art, a main hall space which is good for yoga, day meeting work-space or parties / dining, a kitchen living area and Buddha Garden outside. We have a couple of open gas fires, great art and a good design for the number of people in the house. There is also a shared utility room in the basement and we have all the latest mod. cons.

The location is in a little oasis right off Park Gate Road by Battersea Park & Albert Bridge and is a 20-25 minute walk to South Kensington, Sloan Square or Battersea Power Station tube stations.

NOW taken: The newly painted and refurnished ‘Top Floor Appartment’, double en-suite, has a brand new private bathroom with shower and bathtub, lots of light and great views out the skylights. It is very bright with views westward over the rooftops. It has two built in double wardrobes, two chests of draws, wall shelves and working area with lots of space for two. There is also storage shelves under the new double storage bed that lifts up. The bathroom has just been redecorated and the walls & celings all repainted £1,400.

The "Tibet Room" (available Dec 1st) has a double bed (brand new mattress) and ensuite bathroom accessed privately from within the room. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath and shower, sink and loo all decked in teak. The bedroom has some good built in storage and a dedicated working area. The furnishings and art are from India and Tibet with a large picture of the Himalayas over the bed, hence the name Tibet Room. There is a glass double door that opens onto a small balcony overlooking our garden and the other gardens below. Very quiet and peaceful! £1300

(+10% for couples + pets).

The costs of running the house include: super-fast broadband, amazing central heating, coulcil rates, electricity, insurance, our lovely housekeeper who comes twice a week to clean sheets & bathrooms, hoovering & help with the rest of the house cleaning and insuring the place. The three rooms share 75% of the bills (their share) or 25% each. The costs when no one gives a damn are about £100each month but I share the costs to make sure people do not waste the heating and electricity grossly. These can be much lower when we are mindful.

Housemates:

Jessie is an artist and works at Southerbys and her partner is into yoga, physics and business and has just started a new startup in cryogenics for cooling computers. They are both very lovely and will hopefully be involved in our Yoga and Meditation retreats.

JAIQUI is an Architect working at Norman Foster next door, big into meditation and travel!

Charles is mostly in the south at the moment running a 20 person retreat centre and hosts regular healthy events down there and starting up other Green Campuses.

We hope to find young professionals who are convinced of the health / environmental / ethical benefits of a plant based diet and will enjoy being supported in maintaining that ethic.
