I’m looking for a kind, tidy and peace-loving person to live in my lovely characterful home in East Ipswich with me and my two oddball tuxedo rescue cats Victor and Mabel. They own the place, and insist on genuine cat lovers only. References will be required! The house is on a quiet residential road in a conservation area, a 20 minute walk into town/the waterfront. The bedroom I’m renting is in a loft conversion on the third floor, accessed by its own set of stairs. It has a double bed, a desk area and an en-suite shower. It’s private, light and peaceful. Downstairs there’s a newly-renovated kitchen diner, with French doors to a large garden with a wildlife pond, cabin and a spacious sun-trap patio. If you enjoy a bit of gardening that’d be a bonus. I have a music room, with an upright piano and shelves filled with scores, books, and LPs. Finally there’s a big living room at the front of the house with a wood-burner. Litter trays around the place, obviously, which - being staff 🐈⬛ - I keep scrupulously clean.
I have until September to find someone, and I’m looking for a minimum 3 month let. I can be flexible about rent, length of stay, furniture for the right person, especially someone prepared to join the staff 🐈⬛. I’d prefer it if you are out working for at least part of the week, or are studying, and unless you are already an old soul I am seeking someone 45+ who enjoys their own company, and understands boundaries. I welcome people in the creative arts, health workers, carers, teachers, researchers, mature students.
