Looking to rent one of my rooms in my Edwardian house. Views overlooking open fields in the Longsleddale valley, king size bed, lots of original features, room has a radiator. Original single glazed sash windows with insulated blinds, shared dining room, kitchen and bathroom with downstairs toilet room as well. Washing mashine in cellar. Bills are included with reasonable use. Maximum of 1 day a week working from home but no home working preferred. You will need your own transport as there are no busses and Kendal is an hour and a half away on foot but it's less than 10 mins in a car to the supermarkets at the north end of town. Parking at the house is available. Small cars preferred. There is no mobile signal on any network but the WiFi is 1000mbps fibre right into the house so WiFi calling should not be an issue.
This house was built by my Great Great Uncle for my Great Great Grandmother (his mother), completed in 1904 and it has been in the family ever since so I'm looking for people who are sympathetic to the fact that this is a family house and I see myself as more of a custodian, trying to preserve it for future generations but of course these days, that isn't easy in The Lakes. So I want someone who is going to be sympathetic to that and careful of their surroundings.
Apparently I have to tell you the house is band F for council tax (£350 a month) Not sure why I have to do that but it gives you an idea of why renting rooms is necessary for me.
I currently have a lodger in another room.
