Our home is a short 10-minute walk away from Lancaster Castle and Lancaster Rail Station. There is a bus stop only 2 minutes away with a direct connection to Lancaster University and Royal Lancaster Infirmary as well as to the Lake District bus from the main bus station. RLI is a 20-minute walk along a foot path which is quiet and relaxing. There are several gastropubs close by as well as a small microbrewery pub at the rail station. Town centre is only a 10-minute walk with many amenities. Non-smoking home. Rent includes bills.

We are both professionals with one of us recently retired from a medical career and another an education professional. We enjoy exciting foods and have a small specialty food business.

We are renting out one spare bedroom, with a shared bathroom, either short or long term, to someone who is respectful and tidy. We enjoy meeting new people, as from every person one meets, you will learn something new, if one is open-minded. We enjoy the diversity of our world and appreciate respecting that diversity.

The bedroom has a European double bed (1.4m by 2m) for single occupancy. It also has a desk to work from and a wardrobe with plenty of storage space. Reading room with Juliette balcony available to guest.

There is Wi-Fi with secure internet access. For those with a bicycle, there is space in our secure garage. Off street parking for one vehicle. We believe our home has all required modern comforts. The home is fully furnished.

The kitchen is fully furnished & equipped as I’m a self-trained chef and have a food business as well as a large amount of specialty food equipment. For your use there is one dedicated shelf in refrigerator and one cabinet shelf for dry goods. There is free parking on our drive in front of the property and it is a quiet residential road.

We're renting out the room on a weekly basis, and if you are looking for something a bit longer, or need something for a few days only, please do contact us, as we are happy to do so for the right person. You may be a mature student who wants someplace quiet. You could be working locally on a contract basis. Or, someone considering a move to Lancaster wanting to check out the area for a new opportunity.

If at all possible, we would always prefer for you to come and view the room in person and we will also always share a draft private lodging agreement with you in advance to review, so that the terms of the stay are clearly agreed upon by both parties in advance.
