New bus route SL4 direct to Canary Wharf (via Blackheath). 15 min walk to Grove Park or Lee station for trains to Lewisham (change for DLR), London Bridge, Waterloo, Charing Cross, Cannon Street, or 1 bus (2mins from house) to Lewisham. Blackheath is 10mins by bus. Bromley (has The Glades shopping Centre) is one bus ride away. Bluewater Shopping Centre, 20mins by car, with no traffic - the train goes direct from Lee to Greenhithe for Bluewater and then a shuttle bus. There is on street parking available. Local park is 10 minute walk away.
