Central Lewes - 2 mins walk to station. High ceilings, large windows throughout the three rooms - the whole of the basement - of an Edwardian house, plus a shared kitchen up on the ground floor with the owner. Own front door. 250m from Lewes station. Also a couple of minutes walk to the High Street and a short walk to the Cliffe area of Lewes.

Shared kitchen up on the ground floor (with Aga and dishwasher) that leads to the courtyard garden, all shared with me, the owner, who lives in the floors above with my dog (a non-allergenic wheaten terrier) and sons/family who come every now and then, also visiting friends.

The basement has a large bedroom with an ensuite WC/shower room. Also a large front room (facing south) that has a sofa, table, general living area with a fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave and kettle. Plenty of shelves and storage. Lodger has their own washer dryer in the basement.. The basement has underfloor heating, Wifi too.

I'm looking for someone, preferably female like me, who can share kitchen and garden space with mutual respect, friendliness and tidiness and who likes conversation at times, also their own space other times. Probably best no nightshift workers as the kitchen is above the basement bedroom. You must be comfortable with and like dogs too.

About me...I'm welcoming, like meeting new people, a former journalist, now write (am ghostwriting an autobiography) and sometimes work part-time in a vineyard. I enjoy seeing my friends and my grown up children and am interested in current affairs, reading and wine. I'm in my late 50s and still love playing cricket..

£875 per calendar month includes all bills/council tax, and cleaning every other week by trusted, lovely cleaner.
