Hello!
We’re Alex and Sinead. Our housemate is moving out in mid‑March after living with us for the last two years, so we’re looking for someone to take over the room. To start with, we'd ideally be looking for someone to move in for 6 months or so, but we’re flexible if you’re after something a bit shorter or longer.
About the room/house:
It comes furnished and is a decent-sized double with its own bathroom - all on the top floor, so you have that space to yourself. There is a shared living room and kitchen.
We have a lovely garden that gets the sun in the mornings and early afternoon, plus a big outside storage space if you’re a cyclist and need somewhere for your bike.
We keep things fairly tidy and homely, and would be keen for whoever moves in to be looking for a similar vibe.
The rent is £1200 (or £1400 for a couple), which includes all bills. We don’t have any pets, but we’re happy to welcome pets if you have them!
If you are interested in a Monday-Friday let (or some combination of short days) drop us a message, we are happy to have a chat about other set ups and reduce the price to reflect that.
About us:
We’re a couple, both in our 30s. Both of us have Mon-Friday jobs with a mix of working from home and going into the office. We are both keen travellers and like to explore new places (Taiwan is our next trip). We are open-minded, liberal and welcoming of lgbtqia+.
Sinead (she/her) - works for a charity that supports children in care. I grew up in Brighton and outside of work I love getting out for walks, staying active, charity shop browsing, exhibitions, a good pub, going to my book club with some school pals, and trying to perfect my coffee-making skills (still a long way to go on this).
Alex (he/him) - works in town planning and loves to be outdoors. He's a keen runner, currently training for the London Marathon and an ultra marathon later this year, so he's often up early getting the miles in.
Location info:
The house is on a quiet residential street, but only a short walk (5-10 mins) to Lewisham station for trains and the DLR. You can direct trains to:
Greenwich/London Bridge – 10 mins
Charing Cross / Waterloo East / Victoria / Cannon St / Canary Wharf – 15-20 mins
For green spaces, we've got Blackheath nearby (10 mins) and Greenwich park (20 mins). There are lots of supermarkets, gyms, swimming pool, yoga studios all within a short walk, plus Lewisham shopping centre close by.
If you've got any questions or want to pop round to meet us and see the place, please send us a message!
