Hello! We’re a leftist, queer household in our 30s looking for a like-minded housemate to join us 💛

There’s three of us —Mia and Carolina (a couple) and Rowan— and we’ve been living together for the last couple of years. We work in teaching, film/tv and higher education and are up to quite a bit outside the house, e. g. community organising, woodworking, bikepacking, gardening/growing food, language learning, book clubs, salsa dancing, football and music.

We moved a month ago into a beautiful semi-detached house in Lewisham and we are looking for a fourth housemate to join us. The available bedroom is an unfurnished double (3.7 x 3m) on the first floor, overlooking the garden. The house is roughly a 12 min walk from Ladywell, Lewisham and Hither Green stations. As we only moved in a month ago, we're still in the process of decorating and getting the house fully set-up!

Our home is generally calm, fairly quiet, and community-oriented. We share some responsibilities like cleaning and cooking rotas (where each person cooks once a week for everyone, and then gets to enjoy other people’s cooking the rest of the week), and buying household staples and communal dried foods together. We've found these systems work practically while also creating the space to spend time together and look after one another. We also generally try to live in a way that’s thoughtful - both towards each other and the wider world - creating a home that feels safe, warm, respectful and easy to be yourself in.

- Bills: £120-150, estimated (we're still working out energy costs in the house)
- Accessibility: House is accessed via set of 5 stone steps from the street, the bedroom available is on the first floor which is up 15 more stairs
- We're renting from a private landlord and the new housemate will need to do referencing checks with them to join the contract
- Council tax band F
