Many thanks for taking the time to consider what I can offer you.

I have a clean, safe, and warm, well furnished double room with an excellent quality and super comfortable double bed, professionally cleaned with organic products in February 2026 ( due to having other rooms done), and always before a new lodger moves in, receipt is provided. Carpet is very good quality but will be replaced with a wooden floor and rug, unless there is a preference for a longer term lodger to have carpets.

You will have your own space in the kitchen pantry to store food stuffs, with everything you need in a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal, saving you time and money by not having to buy your own pots, plates, cups, glasses. cutlery, baking trays, etc. There is a large Miele fridge and freezer with your own shelf and separate vegetable compartment . You have the benefit of a smart Samsung washing machine and dryer that also lets you know when your wash cycle has finished.

Everything is provided for a hassle-free move, and for a comfortable stay, while saving you time and money too.

Transport links
Stratford has excellent transport links in and out of London. DLR, Elizabeth Line, Jubilee line, Central Line, Stratford International, within 7-20 minutes you can be in central London. It also has night buses if you work late. 10- 15 minutes walk to Stratford and surrounding stations.

Who will you live with.
A lovely fun, clean and warm trustworthy French exchanged science and maths student in her 20s, who moved in on the 31st of January 2026. She has described me as ' incredible' in a good way, so I trust I am doing more right than wrong. :0)

I am a Black British-born, Afro-Caribbean, middle-aged, experienced landlady, who is calm. kind, caring, respectful, honest, trustworthy and very respectful of my lodgers need for space and privacy. and have a sense of humour and fun. I am very creative and had a little play showcased in 2018 and continue to write, develop a product I am working on for every day use, as I seek new employment opportunities, but will also be studying to become a psychotherapist at The Institute For Arts In Therapy & Education. part time in September 2026. Don't worry, I won't try to psychoanalyse you or offer therapy, I am still trying to understand myself in the concrete jungle of life, like the average joe. Therefore, I will be a busy bee. However, I am also open to cooking and sharing occasional meals, perhaps once every two months, regular movie nights, with treats I provide, and a cup of tea or decent bottle of wine, including enjoying a little chat when time allows and the mood suits. This is also for lodgers to have some quality social time together in the living room although it is not included in the rent, as I need some space of myself. There is a garden and comfortable size good for lodgers to chill too.

What I am looking for in a Lodger
Someone who is trustworthy, honest, clean habits and consideration of others needs and cultural and personal differences. I am a heterosexual woman, and my home is open to anyone who I consider to contribute to the harmony and peace and cleanliness of my home. If you have a sense of fun and humour that is the icing on the bake for me. If you are introverted and or quite and just want to do your own thing, that works equally well too.

How many lodgers will I share with?
There will never be more than two lodgers at any time.

Health & Safety, Gas and Electric compliance at viewing.
Also, can contact house insurance for any plumbing, heating, etc. breakdowns in my absence.

Contracts/Deposit/Rent
Contracts are provided, and the deposit is returned upon your vacating and returning the keys. Rooms are available now. January. Cost: £750 Single and £850 Double or one single and one double for one person only at £ 1,300. I am happy to customise this offer for the right person. This means from the beginning of June when my lovely lodger returns to France to conclude her studies, you will just be sharing only with me. Note, Short stays up to 3 months I will need to charge an additional £70pcm to cover additional cost.

The cul-de-sac is very warm, friendly, and usually quiet and very well-maintained. My home is suited to those who want a calm, clean, safe, peaceful and warm place to positively chill, usually punctuated by fun and laughter with a burst of lively energy from time to time.
