There is a kitchen with dishwasher and washer-dryer, a conservatory, a living room, and a toilet downstairs, as well as garden access. You can do whatever you want to the garden if you want to take care of it, it's pretty nice. Upstairs there are the three bedrooms and one shared bathroom with shower. We can discuss splitting a weekly cleaning service for shared areas, if that's something you'd like.
We are less 2 minutes' walk away from the bus stop to take you into town, uni, or the station. The big Sainsbury's on Tritton Road is less than 5 minutes' walk away. Boutham Park and Moorland Community Centre are within walking distance for some green. You can have a car or a bike in our driveway or garden. Council Tax band is A. Bills included. Come have a look anytime!
My mother Teri (63), Singaporean, and my father Gabriele (75), Italian, are looking for someone to take over my room once I go to uni. We have a lovely 3yo border collie named Arco. He is always smiling, a tad excitable, and very good at cuddles. You do not have any responsibility in taking care of him unless you want to! In a few months, Teri will be taking work abroad, leaving Gaby and his trusty companion as live-in landlords with occasional visits from myself and Teri.
We like common sense rules when it comes to cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen, doing your own laundry, or keeping your room tidy, but nothing excessive. No loud noises between 11pm and 5pm, but again that's common sense. My parents love love love cooking and they will cook for you whenever you want, essentially. But you can also just eat by yourself in your room, no pressure. Some community is nice, but so long as a person is friendly and caring, it doesn't matter how social they are.
If you like the property but the price is too high, we would be happy to negotiate the price in exchange for a few hours of chores a week, on a trust basis. My dad is getting on, so being able to do a deep clean, change a lightbulb, or help with dishes/laundry could get you a discount. Just an idea!
