On the edge of Snowdonia and close to Bangor, the university and the island of Anglesey. Detached stone house with large walled garden, surrounded by pastureland and then woods. On bus routes G10 and G8 to Bangor and Bethesda. Good off road car parking. Close to Lon Las Ogwen cycleway, 15 minutes to Bangor Port Penrhyn / Beach Road by bike.

The guest room currently has an adult sized single bed, and can have two bunk beds, one above the other. There is plenty of storage space, and a writing table / desk.

I provide and include all bedding, towels and weekly change of linen, heating by log stove, electricity and WIFI broadband is included. But there is no telephone landline, no television and no microwave. I have a cat called 'Misty'.

Breakfast is also included. I enjoy cooking and generally provide evening meals for everyone staying, and the meal is charged according to the cost of materials used. I also often using fruit and vegetables from the garden when available. We like vegetarian and Asian food, but also like fish and meat on special occasions. My partner is from Hong Kong so we eat a lot of Asian food. We especially enjoy guests from overseas who can show us their traditional dishes.

My offer is aimed at people who are doing short-term locum work, pursuing any sort of creative work, university students or are studying in the out-doors environment. We enjoy meeting new people, and anyone who is seeking a place to explore creative or artistic work is especially welcome as I have facilities for a wide range of artistic and creative projects. This is an ideal situation for someone wanting to pursue or explore artistic or practical techniques with some guidance if necessary. I also welcome some occasional help with creative projects to improve the house and the garden.

I ask for an advance of one month's payment to secure a room, and then payment in advance at the commencement of each successive week. The minimum stay is one month. I invite people as guests and treat my guests the same way as I would if members of my own family come to stay. I just ask people to settle the cost at the end of each week of their stay (like meal and fuel cost if any).  This may have to go up if fuel costs etc go up a lot.

I am retired architect / engineer / designer / musician, still very active on a range of creative projects. My partner is from Hong Kong. I have five daughters, three live locally, so I am well used to being in a predominantly female household, and we are only seeking female guests. 

PLEASE NOTE that I am inviting people to live within my household as guests. I am not offering a tenancy. I do not consider people who have not completed their profile description, describing themselves, their situation and their needs, with at least one good profile picture.
