Hello!
We have a large unfurnished double room available to sublet in our spacious house in Crouch End / Alexandra Palace.
The room
The room is on the first floor and is really spacious, with a large east-facing bay window that gets lots of morning sun and looks directly out onto the trees of the adjacent park.
The house
The house is a large end-of-terrace at the end of the street, surrounded on three sides by trees and greenery from the park. There's lots of natural light and practically no traffic noise, so it feels surprisingly peaceful for London.
We have two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, both with showers, with a bath upstairs as well.
There's a large shared kitchen/dining area with plenty of cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery that you're welcome to use. We tend to hang out and chat in the kitchen more than anywhere else, and there's also a separate lounge with a large sofa and huge TV, with double doors opening outside.
There's a driveway with plenty of space for another car.
Location
We're a short walk from both Crouch End and Alexandra Palace, so close to plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and bakeries. Hornsey station is around a 10-minute walk away, with direct trains to Finsbury Park, Highbury & Islington, Old Street and Moorgate. There are also several bus stops just a few minutes from the house with good connections to Finsbury Park and the surrounding area.
Rent is £1,000 per month, with no deposit required. Bills are currently around £170 per month (water/electricity/gas/council tax).
There is also a smaller single room downstairs that, in the past, has been either a bedroom or an office. So if you're looking for some extra space we could see what can be worked out.
The room is available now.
About us
There are currently two of us living here, and we're looking for a new housemate after our long-term housemate Maria recently moved out.
It's a friendly, easy-going household, and we're respectful of each other's space. We enjoy hanging out together, but equally there's no expectation to — we're both quite happy doing our own thing too.
The house is neurodivergent-friendly. We both have fairly flexible work schedules, with a mixture of working out of the house and being around during the week.
Any questions, just drop me a message and tell us a little about yourself.
Thanks!
