Hello SpareRoomers!
I'm Sara, and I am looking for someone to take over my room in a flat I've called home for 3 years.
The flat itself is amazing - I have a bright room on the lower floor of a two-storey flat, just next to a big and bright living room and less than 5-minute walk from Broadway market's cafes and bars. The house comes with 4 lovely housemates that I am super sad to leave behind.
All together, we are Spareroom-forged friends, who are sociable and like to hang out in and out of the flat, but also have our own lives going on. With 5 people in the house, there is always someone to talk over dinner with if you want, but also no pressure to chat if you need some time alone. The flat has two toilets and two showers - all you need for a flat of 5! There's a big balcony which is perfect as a second fridge in winter and sunny breaks the rest of the year. We're a queer-friendly flat with space for all.
A little about the house:
Ruby: A professional dancer, hand model, carer, make-up artist, she does it all. Her real name is also not really Ruby, but Anna. Suspicious? Maybe, but easy to forget in the face of the great fashion inspo, sweet treats and cool vibes she brings to the house. Also, Danish.
Beck: A scientist now working in the drug development space. Loves horror films, but don't let that put you off. She loves reading, playing football, mooching about London and chatting. The resident vegan, she’s always up for trying new bars and bakeries, or watching trash TV.
Elina: The latest addition to our flat, moving from Oxford for her PhD at LSE. A German gal, she was attracted here by the artsy vibes of Hackney. Also a veggie, if we were the Spice Girls she’s be the sporty one, as she loves running, bouldering, cycling, swimming and hiking.
Vic: Is currently travelling but will be back in April - we're convinced she'll have seen all of Asia by then. She's a whiz with words working as a copy writer and our designated houseplant mum. Sofia currently sublets the room - they're always up for a chat about philosophy or why instant coffee is superior to French press.
For furnishings, all the big stuff you see in the room pictures will come with the room. There's a £900 deposit, with the monthly rent coming to £815.
Now for the bills. These are not included, but all in all (water, wifi, council tax, energy, gas, etc) it comes to about £90 a month.
Any questions, please get in touch! We'll be doing both online and in-person viewings, so let me know what works best for you.
