I have a double room available in the Grade II listed Alexandra Road Estate, NW8. This is a rare opportunity to live in one of London's most significant modernist housing estates, within a friendly and longstanding community brought together by a shared love of architecture and culture.

The room is part-furnished with a bed, mattress and wardrobe, and would suit a professional in their 30s.

The bedroom is a double with a shared bathroom on the ground floor. The room invites in lots of light through large windows that look out over the front garden and a quiet, pedestrianised street.

The house is very spacious, split over three levels with a beautiful handmade 1970s open wooden staircase which takes you up to an expansive open plan kitchen/dining room lined with windows, plentiful concrete worktops and plywood cabinetry. I am a university lecturer in art/sociology and I'm looking for a new housemate to join me, my partner, a doctor, and my other friend who is a lecturer in architecture.
