Hi there! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for my studio apartment in Scape Bloomsbury’s student accommodation (19-29 Woburn Pl., WC1H 0AQ). Start date is flexible but available as soon as April 1, 2024, with the lease ending September 7, 2024. Ideal for someone looking for somewhere to stay while studying in London during the summer!

The room is a medium studio with four bay windows (loads of natural light!), a private en suite bathroom, and kitchenette. There is a large double wardrobe with ample storage, a spacious desk, a comfortable double bed, and personalized temperature controls. Pictures I have taken of the room are included below.

The building itself has 24/7 concierge service with helpful and friendly staff. Parcels are delivered to them and are stored securely until you are ready to pick them up. There is a laundry room with several washers and dryers, a well-equipped gym, a cinema room, a library, and many communal areas for studying and hanging out –– all of which are open 24 hours a day. There are quite a few community events a month which provide a fun and relaxed opportunity to socialize with the other people in the building (many have food provided!). Bike storage is also available if you need it.

The surrounding area in Bloomsbury is full of green space and gardens (Russell Sq., Tavistock Sq., Gordon Sq., Cartwright Gardens, Brunswick Sq. are all within a 5-10 minute walking radius).

In terms of local amenities/services, the nearby Brunswick centre hosts several supermarkets (Sainsbury’s, Waitress, Tesco), pharmacies, a Curzon cinema and several chain restaurants. Furthermore, Lambs conduit is the heart of local and independent businesses: offering retail, restaurants, cafés and pubs.

In regards to transport, the areas is well serviced by St Pancras International, Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston for regional travel around the UK and abroad.
For intra-london travel (day and night), Bloomsbury is serviced by the:
1.) Piccadilly line (Russel Sq.)
2.) Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, Northern, Victoria (Kings X, Euston, and Euston Sq.)
3.) Central (Tottenham Court Road and Holborn)
Bus stations are a few minutes walk from the building and are serviced by the 1, 68, 91, and 91N routes -- you can get west to Hyde Park in 25 mins and east to Bank in 20. As Bloomsbury is so central, it does not take long to get to any area in London!
Most conveniently, it is a 15 minute walk to the LSE/Kings campus, 10 to UCL, 5 to SOAS, and 20 to CSM.

All of the bills (ex. water, heating, electricity, internet) are included in the rent payment and are handled by the building admin.
Price on contract is 650 GBP / week, though I am willing to negotiate if necessary.
