The house

The house is a gorgeous large, double-fronted Victorian house situated in the heart of the wonderful Levy. You’ll have your own separate living room and large double bedroom, along with a shared bathroom, kitchen, and beautiful large dining room with French doors leading to a big garden. There’s a third bedroom which is also shared, which I currently use as a study/spare room.

When I moved in, the house was completely unfurnished. I have furnished all the communal areas, including white goods. You will need to furnish your own living room and bedroom (however I can provide a large pine chest of drawers and wardrobe if you wish).

Rent is £550 per month and bills are approx £150 per month (this will sometimes fluctuate with bills such as gas and electric). Deposit is £634.50

Your name will be on the tenancy, and you will be signing into a 12-month contract. You will be credit checked and a guarantor will be required.

The new tenancy will be starting on 3rd June 2024, so ideally you’ll be moving in on this date.



About me

Hiya, I’m Dil (they/them). I’m genderqueer, pansexual, neurodivergent and in my late 30s. I’m vegan and have been for about 12 years now, and this is a big part of my identity. I work as a counsellor for a young people’s mental health charity (I split my time between the office and working from home). I have a whole host of special interests and hobbies, but to name a few: nature (with a particular special interest in moss), food, animals (with a particular special interest in birds) and drama.

I need my own space, but sometimes I like to be sociable, for example eating together, film nights, gardening, board games. Openness and communication are really important to me in a housemate dynamic.

What I’m looking for in a housemate

I’m really wanting my new housemate to also be vegan, as I would find it too difficult to share a space with someone who wasn’t vegan. Ideally, I’d like to live with another person who is also queer, but this isn’t a dealbreaker. This is a really wonderful house, and my home is my sanctuary. I’d love to share that with somebody who is respectful, trustworthy and values a peaceful living environment.
