Hi, I'm Sarah, and I'm looking to share my home with one other person.

About me: I'm a Typesetter. I work from home three days a week, and commute to Oxford Road on the other two days. I love films and film theory, reading, TV, walking, photography, art, music (alternative, classical, there is a 99.9% chance I will talk to you about Jeff Buckley), nature, yoga and gardening.

I’m looking for someone friendly, respectful and considerate who values a calm and quiet place to live. It would also be nice to live with someone who has some similar interests/wants to hang out every now and again (eg watching a film, having random chats).

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to live with someone who does very late or night shifts. If you like to be in bed by 10 then you'll fit right in!

I have a very senior dog called Marty, who is deaf and almost blind. His hobbies include being admired from afar, tottering around the house and garden and being taken out in his stroller. It's very important that you are dog-friendly! Marty will not enter your room unless you want him to, and is never at home without me.

LGBTQIA+ friendly. I'm open to both long and short-term lets, and am flexible about the move date.

The bedroom has:

- a deeeeep cupboard with shelves
walk-in wardrobe (with some rather kitsch wallpaper from the previous owners)
- brand new mattress and bed frame
- bedside table/stool
- new carpet.

Apologies that the bed frame (it's a white Tarva frame from IKEA) is not yet assembled – it will be imminently! The room is minimally furnished for now in case you have your own stuff you'd like to fit in, but I'm also happy to supply things like a simple desk, mirror, shelves etc if needed.

There are gardens to the front and rear, which I’ll be working on over the coming months (you’re welcome to join in). Mmm, other stuff: the kitchen has plenty of storage space and there is an off-road parking space available. If you have any questions, please ask away.

Location:

- A retail park with the UK's largest Tesco (so exciting!) and an M&S Foodhall are only 5 minutes’ walk away.
- The house is 50 metres away from a small country park and reservoir.
- It’s a 2-min walk to the bus stops for the 37 bus.
- It’s a 15-min walk to Walkden train station.
- Manchester city centre: 15-minute walk / 20-minute train journey to Manchester Victoria, or 1 hour on the 37 bus.
- Manchester Oxford Road: 15-minute walk / 30-minute train journey to Manchester Oxford Road, or approx. 1 hour 15 by bus.
- Bolton: 30-min bus journey.
- Salford: 45-min bus journey (the 37 goes past both the university and Salford shopping centre) or 12-min by train to Salford Crescent.
