I am looking for a friendly and tidy new roommate, due to my current flatmate moving in with his partner

The flat - Situated in the iconic Asia House and a stone throw’s from the bars and cafes/ restaurants in Kampus, Canal Street, Circle square and Oxford road, is homely and recently renovated. I own the flat (so will essentially be a live in landlord and you’ll get a lodger tenancy agreement), but more of less looking for a person who can contribute towards a homely atmosphere.

The double room (as shown in the photos) comes with primary access to the main bathroom in the flat (with a bath) as my room has an ensuite. The living area has floor to ceiling windows with plenty of sunlight, a 75 inch tv and an 8 seater dining table. The living area is very much treated as a communal space which everyone living in the house can enjoy together. The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a mezzanine area above the kitchen which is ideal for visitors to sleep in with an air mattress.
Bills, council tax and broadband are not included in the price but generally comes to around £200-£220 per person.

Parking can be arranged for an extra £100/ month

A bit about myself - I moved to Manchester in 2020 to work as an economist with the NICE. I am originally from Sri Lanka and have lived in Oxford for a while where I finished by PhD, and spent most of the year after that backpacking in Europe and South Asia before COVID put a break to that. Outside of work I love playing board games, cooking (I make mean Sri Lankan dishes according to my current housemates), hosting pot luck dinners, pub trips, going on the occasional night out, running, watching all sorts of sports (big Man United fan), playing cricket (when the weather allows) and most of the other normal stuff. I’ve lived in house shares in the past 10 years or so and love the concept of being a part of a home instead of a house per say.

Im hoping to rent the room out for an initial 4 months, with the option of extending to 6 months (and potentially beyond). The deposit would be a months rent and will be stored with the DPS
