The home: you would share a quiet, tidy house with my mother, who is in her 80s - independent and easy-going, keeps to herself, and simply likes a friendly, respectful household. I am the owner and I live here too, downstairs. I leave early in the morning and am back late in the evening, so the home is predominantly female.

Upstairs is female only. Your room and the family bathroom are both up there, and that bathroom is shared with my mother alone - I use the shower room downstairs. Two bathrooms in the house, so no morning queues, and a shared kitchen and garden.

The room itself is a large double with fitted storage and a desk, so there is room to actually live and work in it.

Location: about 10 min walk to Mitcham Eastfields (Thameslink - direct to London Bridge, Blackfriars and St Pancras). Quick to St George's Hospital and City St George's (Tooting), St Helier Hospital, Tooting, Colliers Wood and Streatham. Buses everywhere.

Available now, 6-month minimum. Female lodger only, as this is a live-in shared home. Sorry, no couples, pets or smoking. Housing Benefit / Universal Credit considered, and working applicants are very welcome - happy to discuss either way.
