hello summer friends ~
I'm heading to the states for an extended trip at the top of July and offering up my room as a short-term sublet. Flexible move-out day for around August 12th.
The shorthand:
Absolutely gorgeous green area that is still well-connected to transports and life in and around London. 10 minute walk from Bruce Grove Overground and just a 12 or so minute bus ride to both Seven Sisters and Turnpike Lane (Victoria line and Piccadilly line - two main city lines with great connection and service).
The room is small and cosy but you never feel cramped really. The house has a spacious front reading room (lovely library, couch, and reading nook) and kitchen, living room space - plus, a lovely garden where we let our two cats for most of the day. So yes -- must tolerate, or even better, like the company of cats. They are the most detach cats I've ever met though, so they won't be all over you. Their curiosity is directed more towards spaces than people.
You'd be living with my two flatmates. Both are social and have a mixed schedule of working from from home and out of house. There are always moments when one can have some time and space to themselves, which is rare in a London home shared with flatmates. We tend to enjoy each other's company and will crack open a bottle of wine from time to time, share meals, or just sit and yap away. That said, I feel fortunate to have found a place where there is a wonderful balance of social time and privacy/decompression time.
I'm probably forgetting something but I can't think much of anything else at the moment.. PM for viewings and questions! Looking to fill ASAP.
