We are offering a large double room in our house - less than a minute from the beauty of Alexandra Palace park and 5 minutes from train.

We have had people lodge with us for 6 years - often extending beyond their initial 12 month stay, And we are happy to share our house with them.

We are a family with grown up children 16 and 18 who live with us, plus a big friendly cat 🐈 and an even friendlier dog.

In the house, there's generally music on, food being cooked and people around. We are sociable and enjoy nice dinners, reading, telly/ films as well as going out and outdoor pursuits.

We are keen runners and into an array of fitness.

We are lucky to live in spacious house in Alexandra Palace. The rooms are large and we have a glorious garden that backs onto Alexandra Palace Park from where you can walk (or run) to Muswell Hill, Highgate Woods, and beyond to Hampstead.

It's very convenient for shopping in Muswell Hill, Crouch End and Wood Green. Also some nice local shops 2 mins walk away including a bakery and a grocery store.

As well as surrounding natural beauty, we are well connected in terms of transport.

Alexandra Palace Station is 5 mins walk, that gets you to Finsbury Park in 5 mins (for the Victoria and Piccadilly line taking you into town in less than 20mins, and national rail); and to Highbury & Islington in 12 minutes (for the Victoria Line and London Overground to Hackney and Stratford, and to Richmond); and The City: Old Street and Moorgate in 15 mins and 20 mins respectively.
There is also a train into King’s Cross which takes 12 minutes.

We have a large double room on the second/top floor of the house - view from the window pictured. Shared kitchen, garden, bike shed, bathroom and living space.

Testimonial from Laura who lived with us 2023- 24:
I absolutely loved living with the Wimbush family in Alexandra Palace. They’re such relaxed, wonderful and genuine people to live with. Their home is a busy one but always full of fun, good food and adorable pets. They manage to strike the perfect balance of including and welcoming lodgers into their lives but also completely respecting your privacy and giving you the space to relax on your own without disruption, if you prefer. The house itself is lovely and having a spacious garden in London is such a treat. The location is also great with the palace, park and wonderful views of London just a 5 min walk from the front door, as well as the train station and a great bakery also incredibly close. I really cherish the memories from the time I spent living with them and recommend it to anyone interested.
Laura, 29.
