I’m looking for someone to share this spacious Victorian Terrace House. You’d be sharing with a friendly and outgoing Vegetarian live in landlord…well I own the house. It’s a large 3 bed, but only 2 of us would live here.
The room is a good sized Double, on the top floor overlooking the large Garden, and is amazingly quiet.
It comes with a nice Warren Evans wooden double bed. It also has a large shop type clothes rail, and IKEA mesh chair and 6 shelf Billy Bookcase. I can pack up the clothes rail & chair if you have your own wardrobe etc.
The kitchen as the photos show is a pretty good size, especially for only 2 people using it. All the usual facilities Fridge/freezer, Washing Machine ( No Dryer) and a Microwave, and lots of storage. The table can take 4 easily for dinner., useful if you have friends over.
There is a communal living room with Smart TV, Dvd Player and Hifi.
The Garden is as large as the photos show and a great place to relax/eat in when it’s warm enough or dry enough, and we’re moving into the time of year for enjoying it.
The bathroom, which I can’t get a good angle for a picture, has a full bath and a pretty powerful shower.
On the Broadband front, we have Community Fibre which is super fast, and the rental bedroom gets a really good signal.
The house is in Sirdar Road, one of the quiet “Stokie” type roads close to Turnpike Lane Station. Turnpike Lane is on the Piccadilly line, it and the the bus terminal is 12 minutes from the house. It’s really quick & easy to Euston/KingsCross or Highbury and on to Hackney/Dalston or Camden on the Overground.
If you drive, there is street parking, we are however in a CPZ, but I believe you could buy a residents parking permit.
The street is nice, pretty quiet and there are decent parks not too far away.
I’m a Guardian reading Liberal, so the room is available to any nationality and LBQT+ friendly.
The rent is £775pcm, which includes Council Tax, Water, Broadband, and (hopefully) Gas & Electricity. Also Cleaning supplies and toilet rolls. There is a deposit of £775pcm, but no Agents horrid fees. There will be a contract, and I’d like references. Its a minimum 6 month let.
This is is a No Smoking, Vegetarian household, so no meat or fish cooked or brought in (Eggs/Milk Ok). If you’re Vegan great, I’ve lived with meat/fish eaters before, but they would have to respect this rule.
I’m 60+ now but still active and into music & gigs, so 6music is a constant in the kitchen. I’m friendly but respectful of peoples space & boundaries. I’m happy to share a meal or a glass of wine, or a movie or box set, but equally understand people want their space.
I try to be Eco friendly, keeping the heating down in Winter (wearing a jumper rather than up the heat ), only doing full load washes and drying in the garden. Recycling etc is very important.
I’m an active cyclist, but sadly there isn’t room for another cyclist in the house, which I know most Veggies are.
Im looking to share with someone early 30s upwards, who’s looking for a pleasant homely space, who’s friendly, clean & tidy and respectful of others. A professional or mature student is fine, and is a 9-5 person, but not someone who needs to work from home as normal, and as much as I like them no pets. Obviously we clean up after ourselves and share general cleaning, which shouldn’t be much.
If the room interests you drop me a line, but please let me know you’ve actually read the ad….per the 4 point list., or sadly I’ll send a decline response.
So please, when you write confirm you’re….
1) Ok being Veggie in the house.
2) you don’t have a bike.
3) you don’t normally work from home.
4) And importantly tell me a little bit about yourself.
And if this ad is live, then the room is available.
Anyway thanks for reading and lots of luck.
