The Island is a historic boatyard community now entering a new phase of stewardship and regeneration.

We are:
- Gradually restoring original engineering and boat sheds
- Improving infrastructure and shared spaces
- Strengthening a culture of environmental responsibility
- Regenerating our woodland

The site operates largely from our own solar generation and sits within a biologically diverse stretch of river. Respect for wildlife, shared spaces, and neighbours is essential.

We have a no pet policy as we already have some animals on the island, free-ranging chickens and a local munt-jac deer.

Residents use a short dinghy ride to reach the mainland. A personal dinghy is provided and maintained by the tenant.

Comfort around water and boats is essential.

Someone independent, tidy, and comfortable with alternative living structures. Previous experience with boats or rural environments is an advantage but not essential.
