Looking for a friendly person or couple to share my lovely home in idyllic location.
The grade 2 listed 17th century oak framed cottage which is set down a private lane in quiet spot overlooking the village green and fields. Has big garden and access to private orchards at back.
The 3 bedroomed house is in the Waveney Vally in North Suffolk. Bungay is 7 minutes drive. Beccles and Halesworth is 15 mins away. Sizewell is less than 15mile away.
15minutes from the park and ride.
I am looking for either a single person but will also consider a couple. The rent will be £900 for couple. The rent is inclusive of all bills except for your council tax which you will need to sort out independently.
You will be sharing only with me, so will have plenty of space but also privacy. Your lovely big double bed room in has beams and open ceiling, and a fabulous four poster bed. You will have sole use of a lovely bathroom and toilet with big roll top bath. Also shared use of shower and second toilet if wanted.
I have a lovely large and really well equipped kitchen with all the amenities I. e. dishwasher, washing machine, dryer coffee machine, etc.
The comfy sitting room has a wood burner for cozy winter nights and pull out bed for visitors. Happy to give space if you need it or when entertaining guests etc.
The garden is perfect for summer BBQ's. Has a natural pond and plenty of space for entertaining or camping. The conservatory full of tomatoes in summer and there is a plentiful supply of veggies from the garden.
I have lovely garden and orchard, so a free share of fruit and vegetables is also included. :-)..
There is also private orchard at the back of the house, so plenty of space and free apples and plums in the Autumn!
There is private off-road car parking beside the cottage, which is at the end of a private road.
Rent includes all bills, i. e. heating oil, electricity, water, and wood for burner, internet, etc. You will have to sort out your council tax liability though.
What I looking for---
Looking to cohabit with polite and friendly housemate, who is easy to get along with.
Must be working or student, friendly and happy to contribute towards a clean, tidy and happy home. I will respect your personal space at all times.
Prefer someone who goes to their workplace rather than working from home but do have home office so might consider home based working.
I didn't tick the LBGT box as I am hetro, but wanted to say I'm comfortable with diversity of any kind and welcome anyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender, nationality or race etc.
I do however think that the current rise of rightwing populism and intolerance is dreadful and if you hold these views please don't apply.
About me---
You will be sharing with a single professional who is friendly and easy to get along with. I’m a scientist (PhD biologist), liberal, well travelled with grown up children and very much still young at heart. Interested in fitness and adventure, the environment , film and photography, the natural world, music, engineering and science.
I travel quite a bit so you will often have home to yourself/yourselves.
Applicants can message or phone me directly. Happy to provide the number of my last housemate if you need a reference. :-).
If you don't get a reply, I offer my apologies. The last time I advertised my house I got lots of applications and it wasn't possible to reply to everyone. I will try.
Warm regards
Jon
