I'm offering a massive double room in a clean and quiet 2-bedroom house in Greenacres, Oldham.

Honestly, the photos don't do the room justice – you really need to see it in person to appreciate how spacious it is. And it's not just the bedroom! The living room, kitchen and back garden are all generously sized too, giving you plenty of space to relax (and enjoy the sunshine... whenever Oldham decides to give us some! ☀️).

Forget crowded house shares. No queues for the bathroom, no mystery dishes left in the sink, no ice cream mysteriously disappearing from the freezer, and no random people coming and going every day. Just a peaceful home shared with one easy-going housemate.

A little about me

I'm a Manufacturing Engineer working full-time, Monday to Friday. I'm usually out of the house by 7am and don't get home until around 7–8pm, so you'll have the place to yourself for most of the day.

I'm relaxed, respectful and easy to get along with. Happy to have a chat over a coffee, but I also respect everyone's privacy and personal space.

In my (very limited!) free time I enjoy going for walks or runs, and every now and then I head to the Lake District or Peak District for a long hike. I'm also an Aston Villa supporter, so if you're into football too, a bit of friendly football banter is always welcome.

On Saturdays, my 4-year-old daughter comes to stay, so it's important you're comfortable with having a happy, chatty little person around. She's full of energy and always brings a smile to the house.

The room

The room comes fully furnished with:

- Massive IKEA PAX wardrobe
- Chest of drawers
- Comfortable double bed with mattress

There's still plenty of space left, so the room feels bright and spacious rather than cramped.

The kitchen

The kitchen has almost everything you'll need:

- Dishwasher
- Large fridge-freezer
- Oven and hob
- Plenty of cupboard space for your own food, plates and kitchen equipment

If you're moving in and don't have all your own kitchen essentials yet, don't worry – you're more than welcome to use mine. Of course, if you prefer to bring your own things, that's absolutely fine too.

One thing you'll probably notice is that the kitchen isn't just tidy for the photos – that's how I genuinely like to keep it. I prefer clear worktops and an uncluttered space, so you'll have plenty of cupboard space to store your things instead of leaving everything out.

That said, I'm easy-going, not obsessive. If you leave something out occasionally because you were rushing to work or had a busy day, it's really not a big deal. We all have those days. I simply appreciate someone who generally enjoys living in a clean and tidy home.

Who I'm looking for

I'm simply looking for someone who's clean, respectful and easy to live with. Someone who appreciates a calm, peaceful and drama-free home, respects shared spaces and pays the rent on time. If that sounds like you, I'm sure we'll get on just fine.
